What are the Soul of the Samurai Relics?
Placed before you are 8 totemic Relics, objects with grounded metaphysical power to give you direct access to the ways and virtues of the ancient Samurai. Each contains a uniquely blended alloy of kuro shibuichi, a Japanese alloy made from gold, copper, and silver.
These Limited Edition Relics carry the 8 hallmark virtues of the Warrior spirit.
Crafted by master goldsmith Kedrik Winter Wolf through a process of melting, casting, pressing, forging, shaping, and finally the chasing of these sacred sigil forms into the metal itself. Bound to real leather for great comfort and ease of wear as you go about your days on the path of self mastery. Each relic represents many hours of precise metalworking and over 14 years of expertise and study into alchemy and esoterica.
Each Relic channels a particular virtue into the collection, but make no mistake: they all contain part of the same shakudo, an ancient Japanese base-alloy used in all Shibuichi recipes. Through this, they are united in their connection to the Samurai Way.

The Origin of Excellence...
Alchemical Metallurgy is a cornerstone of the Japanese culture stretching back into antiquity. However, it was not until the 16th century that the Kuru Shibuichi alloys were integrated into crafting the fittings of the Samurai's sword. For a time, before the Meiji reforms when carrying a sword was outlawed, these master smiths created some of the most potent objects in the history of totemic alchemy.
In these Relics Is the rebirth of that ancient perfection. Through this Soul of the Samurai Series, Rituals is reincarnating these masterful alloys in 8 unique forms, each with its own powerful sigil to anchor an aspect of the way of the Warrior for your self-mastery.

How do I know which Sigil is right for me?
While each Relic stands as a pillar for a specific value, they have all been metaphysically bound together. You will have access to all virtues regardless of which Relic you claim. Here are the particular sentiments of each glyph:

Sensemaking is the synergy of 3 core aspects to interpreting and understanding the world around you: Instinct as the first and deepest sense of your Path and the choices before you. Intellect; the mind and home of rationality, logic, and reason. And Intuition, the synergy of each in conjunction with the deepest subconscious and higher awareness.

Equinimity as represented by the Zen concept of Ensō, is the profound acknowledgement that all is one and one is all. It is a state of appreciation and acceptance of the universe as it is in all of it's darkness and light; in the void and in the material.

Integrity of the Self in relation to the Other. This is the virtue of recognizing not only what is you and not you, but also what is yours to do and not do. An understanding of the separation between people and what unites them, and the wisdom to navigate those dynamics with clarity and truth.

- Discernment is the final virtue of this series, and serves as both the strength to understand the journey and a gateway through which every Warrior must pass. Like the glyph of Sensemaking -which is internal- this is the art of understanding. As a mirror though, discernment is of the most external and furthest reaches of yourself. It is the carrier of Empathy, Compassion, and a willingness to continue on your Path, that it may be bright and brimming with beauty.
Are the Sigils also Japanese?
No, actually. As with all Ritualis objects, the sigil and glyph work draws from a diverse mythographic basis, but particularly from Norse and Icelandic. Kedrik also draws from numerology, alchemical, and divine geometry. In this case, the Sigils are drawn almost entirely from the Norse Elder Futhark.
With that said, the Soul of the Samurai Relics are the first Ritualis product to also draw from Kedrik's own rune set. These particular symbols are intended to fill in gaps in the framework of metaphysics that he utilizes in his work, and will be included more so in future items.
